Natasha Short
Continuous Improvement Coordinator, IMI
| I’m a Continuous Improvement Coordinator at IMI Thompson Valves in Poole, where I lead the delivery of operational excellence initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment. I have a strong foundation in Lean, specialising in process mapping, waste reduction, and embedding sustainable CI governance that enables teams to take ownership of improvement. I’ve been heavily involved in major business transformations, including our ERP implementation, cross-functional process redesign, and developing structured CI frameworks covering idea management, project tracking, and KPI alignment. I’m particularly passionate about connecting strategy to execution, making sure improvement activity is aligned to real business priorities and delivers measurable value. I enjoy bringing Lean to life in a practical and engaging way. I’ve led site wide initiatives such as Lean Weeks, interactive workshops, and operator led improvement activities that build capability and momentum on the shop floor. I’m also actively involved in cross-site collaboration within the wider supply chain network, sharing best practice and learning from others to strengthen CI culture beyond my own organisation. At the core of what I do is a belief that sustainable improvement comes from people. I focus on empowering teams, creating clarity in how work is done, and building confidence in problem-solving so that improvement becomes part of everyday work. |
