Maria Makrygianni
Maria I. Makrygianni is an experienced and accomplished Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Aircraft Engineer, and Process Improvement Coach, with a long-standing career in highly technical and operationally complex environments. Since 2017, she has been actively working as a Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement Coach, training and mentoring professionals in Operational Excellence methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
She brings more than 17 years of experience as an Aircraft Engineer on F-16 Blk52+ and Mirage 2000 aircraft, having served in key leadership and technical roles such as Chief Maintenance Engineer, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Organizational Level Maintenance Supervisor, and Internal Auditor within both national and NATO operational frameworks. Her expertise is particularly focused on Aircraft Turnaround processes, quality assurance, maintenance optimization, and operational readiness enhancement.
Academically, she holds an MSc with distinction in Advanced Industrial & Manufacturing Systems from Kingston University in collaboration with the University of West Attica, as well as a degree from the Hellenic Air Force Academy (Department of Aircraft Engineering). In addition, she holds certifications in Systemic Analysis (CSAP), Total Quality Management, Adult Education and Training, Lean Six Sigma, and Professional Skills Development.
