Carlos de Castro is the Head of Global Quality at Specialized Bicycle Components, a leading and highly innovative bicycle brand where innovation translates into performance that riders can trust and enjoy.
He brings extensive experience across operational and executive quality leadership roles, most recently driving transformation at ABB and previously at Honeywell and Philips. Throughout his career, Carlos has led the global deployment of Lean Manufacturing, establishing standardized, scalable systems that enable sustainable performance improvements across regions.
With a truly global footprint spanning the Americas and Europe, and strong engagement with manufacturing sites and supply partners in Asia, he has implemented end-to-end performance frameworks focused on SQDIC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost). His multi-site leadership integrates operations, quality, and consumer care, delivering both operational excellence and an enhanced customer experience.
Carlos is also an EFQM assessor and is passionate about leveraging innovation and technology to drive continuous improvement and create a lasting positive impact on people’s lives.
